I didn't purchase these, I picked them up off the road a couple of weeks ago. I was walking from Okere to Mourea with my contractor and one of my project managers working out how we can fit a combined footpath/cycleway in between the road and the lake within a fixed budget.

I don't recognise the brand, probably Chincom. A bit beaten up but OK to live in the door pocket of my ute.

I always dig thru boxes for the old, odd, and unusual.   I believe these were found in the same hunt,  sure are similarly dirty and worn.  The top one might be owner modified,  edges are factory smooth,  a Plomb.    Bonney, then a Herbrand.  Figured not too unusual, still good users, right?

Wow, that Herbrand has some wide opening.  That looks like a problem on a stuck line

I was looking at that. I'm of the opinion that it was probably modified for a specific job.

I have that press. It works better than I expected and has held up suprisingly well - so much so I got the adapter set for it.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

I ordered and received this tool last week.

I'll give you a hint, it is a tool used in the repair of something which is mostly made of brass and American walnut.
It is used on products from two manufacturers, one named after an American civil war general and the other named after a man who liked to fly Kites in poor weather.

It's to replace the rear seal on a Crossman airgun. They work pretty well on the models with serial numbers, but the pre-numbered ones have a bit of an extra problem installing that seal, but I cannot remember what. It did take me a few tries to get it right though.

It is for removing the head of the soldered in valves on rifles made by Sheridan products Inc and those made by the Benjamin air rifle co.
The square end removes the retaining nut and the other end has a threaded tool you screw onto the valve head to pull it out.

Most crosmans use a cartridge valve that just drops right out, and while you'll be rebuilding a vintage valve back in the day and on current guns today the idea was / is to just order a new valve and drop it in.

Yep, for Benjamin air rifles and Sheridan air rifles.
Removes the retaining nut then the other end screws on to pull the top off the soldered in valve.
