Picked up a box of tools at auction. On-line auction, local, so I saw this beforehand. A flat with rusty farm wrenches, monkey wrench, horse shoes, and a large plumb bob. Got to the bottom, another plumb bob. Looked like brass, lots of old briittle string wrapped around it. Nice tapered shape, chipped off the years of dirt, holes in both ends. Turns out it's a cutting torch tip! The other one is steel, just rusty. So I didnt waste my $4 after all.
