SAV-A-STUD THREAD CHASER SET
« on: October 23, 2018, 09:58:37 PM »
I found this at a garage sale over the weekend. It's a Sav-A-Stud Plus re-usable wrap around wheel stud thread chaser set
no. RTC15577.  It was the only tool at this sale that was loaded with Grandma stuff.  These are available from MSC for           $ 138.00 . One site had them for $ 199.00 .I got it for $ 5.00. Only one was ever used. I'm looking forward too trying these out.

And at only $5 he didn't get screwed on the price.

I'm not sure I would have even seen these, if I go to a garage sale and I see mostly old lady stuff I usually bolt pretty quickly.
Always lookin' to learn

I had to spend "quality" time with the GF on Sunday. She wanted to go to a couple of garage sales. They were all granny sales. I was quite surprised at this being at the sale as there wasn't a tool , rake or lawnmower in sight and no shed. Lots of baskets tho. We brought home plenty of baskets.

No point in screwing around when no tools are there.

Seriously though nice of you to spend some time with the GF.

Maybe Granny thought that Save-A-Stud meant something else when she bought for Grandpa. :))

^^^^^^^^ :)) :))

That was a steal, well done.  I have only had one set of those in 10+ years.  Don't come up very often and are darn useful

Yeah, 5 bucks is a no brainer for those.  It's a cliche, but they'll pay for themselves with just one use.
