Where do i get a 9/16 Acme thread screw from
« on: May 29, 2019, 07:53:35 PM »
My local super nut and bolt store, Tacoma screw only carries bigger stuff?

Of maybe a certain metal will kid from down south aways with mad lathe skills can add about 2 inches more thread?
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Hard to find 9/16" ACME. In that range, ACME usually sizes from 1/2", 5/8", then to 3/4"

Sorry just couldn't resist.

You might have to get someone to cut that on a lathe for you.

An old vice I found under the hedge at work, it`s kind of like a lost orphan that I have to save now.

If Ken doesn't find anything in his boneyard I bet there is someone south of you that could cut those threads in his sleep.

Lol you rang?

I already have one of his projects sitting here, plus another ahead of that for somebody else on here. I better get to work this morning.
