Old School pressure tester
« on: March 03, 2020, 05:24:43 PM »
Found this pressure tester in my dads tools. Old school, analog, metal case with glass lense. Looks to be in good shape, but I don't know how to test it.

Is it still usable, or do new cars make this obsolete?

They still work -- just have to make sure the rubber stopper is still pliable and not cracked. Old school, but they still test pressure. The fact that it's a mid-century tool from a Boston manufacturer of precision gauges makes it very collectible.

Nice old piece for sure.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

It's dual purpose. It says semi-diesel and jet-matic.
