Utilized a few scraps to build this little model of an air cooled Volkswagen engine. It's going to be a Christmas present for one of the best friends I've ever had.
Its made from some steel, some cast fittings, a little stainless, some aluminum, brass etc.... Fun little project that gave me some machining practice and a little bit of TIG welding practice.

Wow! That is way cool. I earned my keep after college, working on all manner of VeeDubs.

Nice job! I'm an air-cooled guy myself to include motorcycles.
Your project reminded me of something my sister bought for me at a craft show. Although it is made from available pieces and not custom, it makes a nice display piece. The story related to me was when she looked at one of his motorcycle creations he asked what kind of bike I owned and when she said BMW he brought out one that looks like a boxer twin.
