GARAGE SALE WEEKEND 5-5-19 VISE HEAVY
« on: May 05, 2019, 08:31:38 PM »
I went to a town wide garage sales this weekend. I picked up some pretty nice stuff. Vises were cheap and plentiful. Here's what I got :
1. Echo CS-310 in need of a recoil cord repair and ?? I couldn't let it sit there for  $ 20.00. It came with 2 chains. Made in 2013.
2. Pair of garage door springs. One of mine broke some time ago. Woke me right out of bed. $ 5.00
3. Williams 3/8 ratchet. SK 1/2 ratchet. SK 3/8 universal. 2 masonry chisels.
4.  8 vises - 3 Columbian D-43 1/2 swivel vises. 2 closed thread / 1 open thread. Wilton 111111 , Wilton 112070 ( Taiwan) , Green vise V20 / V21 . Craftsman 506.51801 . Sears 506.51770.
5. Torin scale model display vise that actually works. Had to have in for $ 6.00

What an amazing weekend you had, I stopped by a couple yesterday and the closest thing to any kind d of tool I saw was a crappy harbor freight cordless drill + LED worklight combo with no charger.
I asked just ' cause and they wanted $10 for it, I wouldn't give $10 for it new at the store
Always lookin' to learn

I got the chain saw running today. It needed a primer bulb and a good cleaning. The recoil needed to have the starter pawls / dogs unfrozen. I put fresh gas & bar oil in it and cut wood with it. It has a tiny stumble to it until it warms up about a minute. That may go away with a few tanks of gas. Or a new diaphragm.
