Biggest ratchet I own
« on: October 19, 2019, 10:28:16 PM »
This was a want not a need... but dammit it's cool, somewhat unique as a product, plus it's badass and made in USA!!!

Wright 6425
3/4 drive ratchet, 45 tooth, 42" long, 1" dia. handle, knurled grip, black oxide, weight = 10 lbs.

Pictured with other 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 Wright rats for comparison. Last pic is with my 2 other 3/4 rats, Bonney and SK-Wayne.

I have a Blue Point 3/4" drive ratchet about 44" and a 1" drive Wright about 28"

Where did you pick up that Wright, Dave?

Does the BP have a replaceable handle like the Snappy does?
(My bonney does too)

This Wright is 1 huge forging. It rings like a wind chime if you ratchet it without holding the handle.
Edit: I got it on eBay.

Wright offers an 8425 as well which is an XL 1" drive rat. And the std length 8400.

The Blue Point does have a handle that can be switched out.  The handle is Snap On.  Will try and post pics soon.

Besides the 6425, I have 9 other Wright rats. I have the 3425 long 3/8 contour grip, and the 4425 long 1/2 knurled grip, as well as Powr-Kraft long 1/2 tootsie roll...so 6425 "Wright" at home

The Wright 3/4" ratchet is more balanced and lighter overall plus a finer tooth than a Snap on ratchet. I have a standard length Wright made( International branded) and prefer it over the Snap on. I use the Snap on head only  with the extra long handle.

Nice collection of ratchets

All my 3/4 ratchets are regular handle length, but I got lots of cheaper pipe. ;D

Nice big ol wright. I don't have much of the black tools in my whorde. just don't see it too much around here.

Thanks for the comments guys. I like Wright  :)

Fatfillup...that is a 3429 offset ratchet. At some point they dropped this model and reused the number with Tootsie Roll bent flex (3/8)

Slip knot...last time I checked, you could get this ratchet with any finish you want, as long as it is black oxide...lol...you can get the std length in chrome but not this guy. I plan on wiping it down with fluid film.

Snaparxon- my dad has a 6400 (std length)and I've always wanted one too. This thing is huge.
