The missing 16mm socket

Let me put it this way... I own probably 10 or 12 socket sets and probably another 100 assorted loose sockets, but not a single socket in 11mm, 16mm, or 18mm.  Why?  because I have never had the need for any of these three sizes. 

My fleet of 3 vehicles is Japanese in origin.  The Japanese Standard does not call for these three sizes, at least not that I have ever run into.

That said, if my fleet changes, I would gladly add any or all of these three size sockets as the need arises.  In the mean time, I'm none the worse.

Here is a Craftsman 1/2” drive -vv- metric set. No 18, 16 or 11mm sockets. Only the popular sizes. Lauver can probably say when they were made.

I don't think your sockets are BE.  Likely EE, Taiwan made ca. 1982-1991.

When I blow up the 13mm I think I can see -vv-. I don’t pick up any offshore Craftsman if I can help it.

Just explain that 5/8 and 16mm.interchange perfectly as 3/4 and 19mm. Lots of wrenchers aren't aware of this.
