Xmas presents.....
« on: December 24, 2018, 03:02:16 PM »
We had our family one tonight,  as kids have to be shuffled off to thier other parental units.

The wife got me the Thread Checker set, and my oldest (step) daughter dud the gag gift of a 6-pack of 10mm sockets.

Bloody nice gift there, not often thought about but handy as f.ck.
Nice work on the wiffys part.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Great gifts.
I don't see how a bag of 10mm sockets is a gag gift though, you won't be searching for the missing 10mm for a while now  ;)

I was asked what I wanted and said some flannel shirts, we'll see if I get them.

Always lookin' to learn

I've got a couple sets of the thread checkers here at home.  At work we use them multiple times a day.  As stated above, very handy!!

Those thread checkers are handy. I use the metric one fairly regular. SAE I can eyeball somewhat but my eye isn't corrected for metricies. ;D

Digging the thread checker also, very handy.  Like Slipknot, and I am sure most of us older guys, SAE is normally a quick glance but metrics I just don't play with enough.

As to the 6 pack of 10's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,pretty darn good gift IMO

Those 10mm look to be 1/2" ers. So yes, for the most part, a gag since to me that's a rare encounter I use 1/2" drive on 10mm.

I've not seen that "mid socket" knurling before. What brand are those sockets?
