Hi DeadNutz and Rewind. The second set is really only for gripping hex nuts and bolts. I really don't use them much due to their bulky heads, but when they fit well on a rusted bolt or nut, there's nothing like them for a solid bite.

I bought that second set when they came out.  Hoped they would work on semi rounded off oil drain plugs.   Quickly found out that by that time the plugs were soft and crumbling.   Worked great for other things tho.  Mine were built in Nebraska, pre-Irwin.   At farm sales, notice the original Vise GRips always bring a premium even when looking tough.
