That is a cool vid.
MAGA

If you can’t fix it with a hammer, it must be electrical.

rural,

That Desoto is a wild looking finned machine.  A real looker...
When my wife leaves me, my dog dies, and they repossess my home, I'll still have my tools.

Those family pics depict a hard life; yet at one time that used to be the norm for most of the population. The second pic shows a father mending shoes - which according to my grandfather, was a basic needed skill for men at one time. Women learned how to cook and sew, while men where often tasked to become the cobblers in the family. A single pair of shoes was often the norm for each family member, and then only worn in colder months -- in summer it was "barefoot time" for the kids to save wear and tear on the shoes.

My grandfather having greon up through the depression could "patch" anything. It may not have been the best or prettiest repair but it would certainly make the machine or item last longer since they couldn't afford a new one.

I remember those personal music boxes at the counters and booths in a diner where I grew up.

Those two guys in the last picture are the very definition of stoners.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.
