Picks

Before I started working full-time as an auto mechanic there were a few small picks in my hobby toolbox.

I realized quickly that this was going to have to change and pulling the cotter pin from my floor jack this weekend reminded me how much this particular back scratcher was used.  It is well designed with multiple angles and a good reach for pulling and prying.

I finally bought a set of the longer ones a while back. Still kicking myself for not getting them sooner.

Some tools just make the job easier.  Its not that you can't get buy without  them but a good assortment of tools will lower the frustration factor and make projects go quicker

And Phil just happens to have the tools for sale. :))

And after awhile (and a few visits to the Fatman's) you'll need more storage for said tools....

I'll vouch for that. Phil's place is like a crackhouse for tool freaks.

Hope he has another get-together this year and I can make the trip north.

Sorry I can't make this one - the Mrs will probably eat up the vacation budget visiting family up north. I'll have to drown my loneliness with pizza and scary movies!

I'm committed to a motorcycle rally at Natural Bridge that weekend so it's out for me as well.  That is what caused me to miss it last year.

What is your location again?

Stokester,

I've recently added a set of looong picks  to my arsenal.  I had lots of the micro picks and a few improvised medium length picks, but no long heavy duty picks.

Wow, are they handy and sweet!!!

I should have bought them a long time ago :)

When my wife leaves me, my dog dies, and they repossess my home, I'll still have my tools.
