Sorry to hear things didn't go well at the vet H & S. That is never easy.
Thank you.
My best friend of the past 14 years died last night and this morning I took her to the vet to be cremated, so technically things did go well at the vet considering the reason I was there.
What's horrible on top of everything is that it's going to take up to 8 weeks to have her ashes due to the virus and such.

She was 2 when I got her and I am thankful that she had 16 good years and 14 of them at my side as happy as she could possibly be.

Today I have just not known what to do with myself and I felt so lost, all I could think to do was build this picture frame to keep my mind off of things as best as I could.
I got most of it done and will finish it tomorrow,  when it's done I suppose I will just have to come up with another project to occupy my time because she was always there next to me with everything else I do and I cannot do most things without forgetting she's not there and reaching to pet her.

I hope everyone else stays safe in these times and their 4 legged best friends are happy and healthy.

well that sucks! my four legged friends are doing fine. i hope yours didn't suffer as that is worse yet.

dogs should go with their legs kicking having a pleasant puppy dream rather than at the hands of a vet and a needle but sometimes that is the only choice.
from the ashes shall rise a phoenix

i was here when the hangout turned into mexican food site!

We were on the way to the veterinary ER last night and she didn't make it, it was not painless I do not believe but whatever pain she was in is gone now.
It was actually better that way because the vet hospital was not letting anyone inside and I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't be there with her for the last few minutes.

I know that she's in a better place now and I am very thankful for all the wonderful years we had.
In time I hope I can open myself up to give another dog a very happy life.
I just don't know how anyone can live without a dog in their life, they can always make even the worst days better

Sorry for your loss. Us humans don't deserve dogs they are amazing.

I just took my four legged pal and he got a great bill of health at the vet.

H&S, sorry for your loss, that had to be hard.  Take comfort that you gave her a good life.

I wrapped my brother's Christmas present ( ACDC's new album power up ), theres a total of 5 boxes inside each other and a bag of sand to add some weight  :hee20hee20hee:
It's been a while , but playing tricks on my brother used to be an unofficial Christmas tradition.

I also did some more work on the picture frame for my mom today, all I have to do is affix the back in place.

Coming back from the city in the 96 chevy 1500, noticed the brake pedal getting mushy.  Today I got under and found the rear brake line leaking.  Hidden behind the gas tank which is over half full.  Got it cut off, pulled out, and made a run to the parts store for lines and fittings.  Should be warm enough by noon to do the double flares, and get it back in.  Hope it wont be necessary to drop the tank.  Oh, bought a hammer head.  Full size cross peen, blacksmith style,  weight,,,,,16 lbs, used of course.

I've listened to most of the album on YouTube already,  they ca still rock just as hard as ever and the album is great.

Just search on YouTube and you'll find many of the songs.

The picture frame for my mom is done.
I didn't torn out quite as well as I had hoped, but still better than anything I would have made screwing around in shop class as a kid.
