Got it pretty good, however yet to start the hammer and dolly phase. Also got a stud welder kit. Motorguard
brand. US built, been wanting one.
Might be another week or so before I have another update. Boring video I did for my daughter in Georgia.

Good work -- go slow and it'll come out straight. Love the old 242 classic

It's been slow alright.  :)
Tomorrow is color day!
Sprayed more primer today after spilling what was left on the floor. Hopefully tomorrow will have some closure on this fiasco.

I'm happy! The job turned out great. The paint is close enough? Just a driver.

(we need an emoj-thingi that represents great praise)

From this distance that looks great! I saw a blog a long time ago of a guy putting a whole newish back piece on one of these, everything from between the window and trunk lid back and it was a cool read. Good job.

Thanks!
I am very lucky to have buddies that helped me.
Larry (who is FordCrager (?) on some other garage site.) Runs a metal working website called " Pete's Metal shaping" did most of the straightening.
I did the finish bodywork and primer. I hired a friend of a friend who went above and beyond for the final block sanding and spraying color. Henry is also a really nice guy.
I will insure it today and give it some test drives as this weekend is a big Volvo meet at IPD in Portland.
Not like the car is great, it's not. Just a survivor/10 footer depending on which corner you look at.  ;)

Thanks, having removed a quarter and removing most of the spot welds I can appreciate the work involved in something like that.

Funny! Watching a car show last night where someone was block sanding and my wife says" who has time for that?"
I told her it can be like meditation, cathartic I think is the right word?
That being said it took months to get from roughed in to ready for primer. I move pretty slow these days.

One nice thing is that it all happened in my shop.
Henry is a pro painter but doesn't have a home shop.
Or garage for that matter.
On the other hand I am still cleaning!

Na not yet I`ve only sanded it a bit. I should get my finger out though.
