i had some cleanup work to do last weekend and throughout the coming fall. i wanted a bigger saw than i had. i am normally leaning towards stihl as that is what i have had for years. honestly, i couldn't afford what i wanted from stihl and stumbled upon this saw for 399 plus tax with a factory sponsored 3 free chains.. well that alone is the better part of 100 dollar bill. i had to drop 35 bucks for the case out of my own pocket as well.
the echo cs-590 timberwolf is a no frills 60 ( 59.8 ) cc class saw with a 20 inch bar and 3/8 chain. single bumper spike (an outside spike is an option i may add), automatic clutch driven oiler for less oil consumption, decompression valve for easier starts and translucent fuel tank for visual fuel level checks.
it gets pretty good reviews but the proof is in the pudding. as you can see it has been used already. i put about 4 or 5 tanks of fuel through it last weekend. it handles the 20 inch bar quite well and that 3/8 chain really move some material. quite literally, the thing is a beast. there was about 5 other saws cutting with me. all of them stihl saws and all smaller but hands down the other guys were impressed. i am quite happy with the amount of saw for the money and would make the deal again. even without the 3 free chains.
oh yea, the 5 year warranty doesn't hurt either!
