Title: HF Pressure blaster --
Post by: goodfellow on August 14, 2018, 02:05:12 PM
This unit is sold by many outlets. HF is usually the cheapest when purchased with a 20% off coupon. Overall, except for the Eastwood offering, most were under $200 retail -- and luckily I found a 20% HF coupon in Machinist's Workshop magazine and coupled that with a sales price from the HF flyer. Got a great deal -- out the door for $109.

It was easy to assemble and the parts have a good fit/finish --

To make the best use of it, I exclusively run Tractor Supply Black Diamond 60 grit abrasive -- it works every time, and if the air supply remains dry, it won't clog.

Ray, how aggressive is the 60 grit black diamond?

It's not overly aggressive Phil. I cleaned most of my Jag panels with this media and they didn't warp at all. The finish is good enough to accept primer without any prep other than cleaning with solvent and panel degreaser.
