On the way home today I stopped at an estate sale that was pretty well picked over but found this level out back leaning against the shop. It is a Macklanburg Duncan 78" alum beam level. It has dual vials in the 4 locations. One guy told me it was a framers level. The seller asked for a whole $5 for it which I paid pretty quickly as no need to haggle at that price. Ran my fingernail down the beams and very few small nicks to dress out.

My Dad had one just like it. It was his 'DOOR' level. Much too nice to be used for framing. I think I paid $30 something for one at an auction a few years ago, before I got his. Since I now have 2 of them, each of my Sons will end up with one when I'm finished with them. You got a great buy!
