All that I can say about the original Ford Explorer is wow. Who could have resisted the burnt orange shag carpet. :cool2:

They were a little late to the party as most guys were familiar with the Little Red Wagon dragster which was a hoot to watch. Similar vehicles were made by VW and there was the Corvair version. I almost bought a VW Transporter like the one in the picture from the guy who had the Scenicruiser bus.
