Circular firing squad
« on: February 20, 2020, 10:12:15 AM »
I have to say the Democrat debate in Vegas was the most entertaining TV I have seen in a while. The first hour was nothing but attacks on the opponents and they really ganged up on Bloomberg. He looked rather pained and wanted to squash the others like a bug. I wonder if he thinks he is getting good value for his billions?

I didn't watch, but I pretty much knew what was going to happen when Bloomberg was allowed to participate in this, his first debate. Bernie is clearly ahead, and he will stay that way due to a lot of Republican votes in open primary states. The fix is in to get Bernie, but it will be very hard for the Clintonite DNC to dump him at the convention if he has a substantial lead.

They will definitely dump him -- and he will walk away with a lot of cash and favors for himself and his family, but the Bernie Bros will riot in Milwaukee. I lived through the disastrous 1968 Democrat convention in Chicago, and Milwaukee is shaping up to be a repeat of that fiasco. Many Bernie Bros are ideological ANTIFA and BLM conspiracy nuts, and they will not accept a brokered convention if Bernie is clearly in the lead. Fasten your seat belt because it's going to be a volatile political summer season.

Bloomberg is the chosen one -- by default. He (correction, --- rather his money) can keep the DNC from going totally bankrupt. $60 billion buys a lot of Super delegates in the final rounds of voting, if there is a brokered convention. Tulsi G. is the only one that is politically smart enough to appeal to the centrist democrat and independent voting bloc, yet the DNC and the MSM hate her guts because she called out crooked Hillary and the crooked DNC in the last election, and again in the current campaign cycle.

Bloomberg said a few smart things last night, like when he said how this socialist crap wasn't going to beat Trump and we are a capitalist nation.   And when he said he was the only one of them to start a business, but then he followed it up with some left wing nonsense and it's clear he will pander to them.

Stop and frisk was a great policy, it kept crime down and made communities safer, but they all run away from it.  Of course it disproportionately affected blacks and Latinos, they're disproportionately committing the crime!

Bloomberg is the only Dem candidate that has a shot at beating Trump IMO.  Not that he can, I don't know,,, but what I am sure of is Trump will eat any other candidates lunch because they are all vulnerable and Trump will exploit any crack he sees.  I think GF's prediction about a brokered convention is quite likely

It will be interesting to see. The Bernie crowd being alienated in the last election probably cost the Dems the election. Surely they can see that. Do they really think Bloomberg stands a chance if they rip Bernie off again?

The sooner that Bloomberg drops out the better. I would bet 30% of the ads on youtube right now end with "Paid for by Mike Bloomberg for president". :33:

Here is what I see happening.........Brokered convention wont happen, the super delegates dont vote on the first round of and if no nominee has a majority a second round of voting takes place. The seven hundred and something supersaturates will swing all their support behind the candidate not named Bernie and the Bernie bros swiftly take to burning Milwaukee to the ground.
