It's good news. Those Asian vise grips really suck.

It's about time! I heard about Malco's supposed acquisition of the old vise-Grip factory some time ago. Kinda figured it was for promotional purposes only and they had no real intentions of re-opening there. But I guess late is better than never!

Really great news.
The cheap Asian locking pliers and Irwin vice grips are really only good in clamping roles where gripping with the jaws isn't important, and that's if they line up well or don't fail in some way.
Holding things you're spray painting, holding something you're heating up with a torch ( you can't really get the jaws any softer ) welding , or just really any application where you don't  care about ruining them.
Always lookin' to learn

I will probably buy a few pairs even though I don't really need them. Got to get used to saying hey go over and grab the eagle grips.

Absolutely!!! Some years ago I purchased a few locking "C" clamp plier sets from both HF and Irwin; what a disappointment! I bought them to help with my welding at the time, but quickly set them aside and bought US made stock on ebay. They might look the same, but they certainly didn't function the same.

Glad to hear this news, and I will be buying from this company.

Good news, I can replace the Asian ones that are falling apart at work.

This is why I will only use USA Vise Grips.

Yup, me too! When it was announced Irwin was buying them I bought some extras from HJE while they still had some USA stock remaining. I will also add used ones worth adding when I encounter them cheap. If they are not the real deal I never give them a second look.
You boys better hold on cause I'm gonna have to stand on it!

Once I see their offerings I will probably buy some to support their efforts to keep "Made In The USA."

Good news for quality vise grip type pliers.

The cheap HF style are good for welding clamps.
