C clamp and the old pad works for me. Handy & stout looking, never seen that type before, slick, well made.

I've always gotten by with the c clamp myself but todays rides have a lot more going on in the brakes. I can see that tool working out really well in some applications.

Took a second look to figure out the question .......  ;D

Working on the pan, it has a kick out. Trying to get a socket on the bolts above that, requires a universal. Using that, socket wants to go 90 to the bolt hole.

Was considering a spring type extension, solved the flop with supper glue.  Swapped out bolts, with allen heads..

Pepi, when I get a flex that's too loose I'll make a couple of really tight wraps with electrical tape. stiffens it up but it will still flex a little.

The super glue it temp, once the bolt is aligned. Start the thread, the glue releases, (brakes its bond) no harm universal returns to floppy.

I can see the tape as a workaround also. Good size hunk of shrink tubing could be another, must clarify, using 1/4 drive.

Cleared out some of the back yard to make more parking room.  Finished up today and we went for a train ride.

Great pics Tim! -- thanks for sharing them with us. Sam's grown like a weed since last I saw him over the summer.

If you can’t fix it with a hammer, it must be electrical.

Sidchrome was a longtime manufacturer but if I'm not mistaken was assimilated by the Stanley Borg.

Drove 150 miles round trip out to my sisters ranch. She had to meet an appraiser and I didn't want her there alone. We did some work while we waited for the guy who got delayed and my sister gave us a nice double glass door bookcase which I loaded up and brought home. My desk is built-in between the kitchen and dining room and the wife tells me the cabinet above the desk is for cookbooks. So this solves that problem and I get to keep using my cabinet. ;D
