Didn't Bonney and Herbrand get absorbed in to the Triangle Corporation?
I was thinking Bon-e-con probably had to be a Bonney economy line, and if they merged with herbrand then my assumption could be correct.

From what little I've seen so far, that 1/4" Bon-e-con (and an identical Bonney ratchet) appeared in catalogs with 3/8" and 1/2" versions of the ratchet design below (top one), @/after Triangle acquired Herbrand to go along with Bonney.  I've yet to see a 1/4" version of this ratchet design, IMHO the poorest Bonney (and several other Triangle brands) ever designed.  The ultimate (and last) Bonney/Triangle design followed not long after, the big and reliable double pawl round head (bottom one).

A lot of fantastic sets here!  I've got a few I haven't seen posted yet, will have to try and find what box they got stuffed into, then find the ratchet in the ratchet boxes...

Wow just wow. That set is like new. The amber handles are almost always cracked or dark or both and the blue bands gone. That is a huge score.

Very cool!  I didn't know there were supposed to be blue bands on those handles.

At the moment this is the only amber handle piece that I have. Sure would be nice to score a matching amber handled plug ratchet... O:-)

I wasn't sure if I'd want a spinner handle, breaker bar, and sliding T in my set but seeing this confirms that I'll have to include all of it.
Now I've just gotta find a universal and I'll be all set  ;D

Always lookin' to learn

Vintage Bonney. My guess is that this set is from the late 50s.
