Sweet sets Jeep. I’m really liking those old Plomb sets. Welcome to GG.

An old Husky set. It came with a little cross bar and card.

Two early Plomb sets from 1940 and 1941. I especially like these sets because the date codes on the tools all match, making me guess the sets are all original from the factory.

I just joined this morning, although I am a member on some other sites. I have a 1/4” drive fetish and tend towards WW2 vintage sets although I have some newer stuff in various brands. My pictures will be pretty random.

Random works for me....Nice sets!

I believe that's absolutely the nicest vintage Husky set I've ever seen....just gorgeous!

Wow... a Plomb set with matching date coded wrenches.  I'm sure that's not an easy one to come by. Very, very nice!

Thank you for sharing these.

I think my head just exploded.

I especially like those end opening sets and the SK set with the palm ratchet.

And welcome aboard d42jeep.

A few years ago you could still buy those Snap-on 9/32 sets with the T handle fairly reasonably, which I am glad I bought one then. I think I paid about $40 for a set like the one you showed. I doubt I could find one for that now.
You boys better hold on cause I'm gonna have to stand on it!

Snap-on prices have gotten ridiculous. Fortunately, I traded for my 9/32” set. Here is my last batch of pictures (for now)

Those SK 1/4" palm ratchets are the best. I have had mine since the 1980's and have always prized it greatly. Best under dash ratchet ever IMHO

Thanks, slip knot. I would expect similar sets to go on eBay between $60.00 and $120.00 depending on condition and how complete they are. I’m missing a small screwdriver bit which I’m having trouble finding.
