DBE thread
« on: August 11, 2020, 09:50:57 PM »
B-mans thread on the X DBE hit a cord with us. Seems we both horde up the 1/2 X 9/16 DBE when we find them. He suggested we start a thread on DBE's, Shortys, Longs , even those oddball manifold wrenches are welcome. Post up what you got.

As I said, I've got this problem with 1/2X9/16 shortys. :lol_hitting:

I`m such a whore for these.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

A post and pics of DBE's will take a while to put together. I'll have to get started soon.

Here's mine.  I have a set of the GearWrenches, (up to 19mm, skipping 16).  The Craftsman ones were my fathers, growing up in the '70s they were the second set of wrenches, after the combinations (also Craftsman raised panel).

Now, if I was starting over, I'd start with DBEs, then add DOEs before combos.

I know I've got some more lurking around somewhere. When I find them I'll add them to the post. Got lots of boxes and pouches to go thru.

Set of DBE's similar to the set I bought in 1948 as all my tools were lost in a robbery in 1985.  Set came from an aircraft mechanic.  They are Craftsman =v= in the original metal holder.
