Look Magazine 1965 Car Issue
« on: January 25, 2024, 10:49:38 AM »
I came across this magazine while doing some attic clean out.  After 28 years in the military and retired for nearly 20 it is past time to clean some stuff out.

This October 1964 issue of Look magazine previews the new cars of 1965.  In addition to the main article there are some real flashy and multiple page advertisements from Ford, Mercury, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Buick and Rambler.  I guess Chrysler thought the cover shot of the New Yorker was enough.  Ford really went all-out with an inside front cover spread with additional two-page ads.  Even Rambler had four full-page all color ads.

Pontiac had some classic body lines -- absolutely beautiful.
Imagine 31 New Car Models were hitting the market in '65. These days we're pressed to find even one new car model from any domestic manufacturer.

I have a Motor trend that's a 1965 . I think 1965 was one of if not the best design year it competes with 1967 in my booK.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?
