This WEN saber saw was what I wanted and for $5.00 got it, a drill and another saber saw plus a bunch of hardware. The WEN is called a Zipp Saw and made by Wen Products Inc., Chicago, Ill. Looked on line and WEN is still in business and have some modern products. A different looking saw. Will put the others on later, batteries on camera quit. I have been passing up these old aluminum bodied tools up until you-all put on this thread---they go cheap at farm auctions, nobody wants them.

WEN made good stuff -- Congrats!
I have one of their cheap 14" electric chainsaws from the late 70s that I just use to do some light trimming and it keeps me from hauling out the gas monsters. That cheap saw has cut a lot of wood -- and it still keeps on ticking. Frankly I'm amazed at the quality -- considering I bought it at a drugstore of all places back in the day.

Good grab!
I've got a soldering gun of theirs. Nice quality.

Wow -- looks like a ray gun. What vintage do you reckon that gun is? -- 50s/60s?

Couldn't say - an expert in soldering guns I'm not. Paid $5 at an estate sale by a company that does good ones - and I attend most of their sales so he gives me good prices. The wife spied a set of three 'connected" paintings, and he gave them to us for about 1/2 the listed price because we show up at most of his sales.

I love that saw, I could so collect those vintage power tools.
I have a Thor belt sander that's way cool.
