I usually don't post firearm ads from any company, but since these rifles are considered among the best post-war semi-autos, and they were so popular about 20 years ago (when you could get them for about $75), it bears a quick mention in this section.
No big explanation necessary for the folks that understand the value of this rifle -- suffice it to say that they are getting as rare as Nancy Pelosi's coherent speech and thought.

A former roommate got an SKS years ago. I think he paid $80. He liked it.
As I recall you had to load it with stripper clips. I never shot it with him, so, I don't know how that worked in practice.
-
I remember seeing SKS's stuffed in barrels like brooms or shovels for $50.00 a piece. I just couldn't talk dad into letting 7 year old me into buying one :))

I thought chinese imports were verboten. Did something change?

I had a couple of Russian SKS rifles. They had machined parts vs stamped Chinese parts. Either one shot good and were easy to tear down to clean. I wish I still had them.
-
I got one around here somewhere. hard to believe they're so pricy now. I recall a case price was way cheap.

Loophole in the law. If they're stored in an import friendly country (as designated by the US Government) for 20 years or more, then at that time they can be legally imported into the US without issue.
