Nope.
That's the only option as far as I know, but if Sargent ever decides to make a long nose pair of their Bernard patent parallel jaw pliers the snapons will probably be irrelevant at that point.

they are nice pliers for sure but I couldn't see myself using anything but the needle nose part.  The 3 position may be handy, I would have to try them

I've heard many good things about them. I grabbed a pair on green. However I haven't used them yet lol

Elroy acquired these needle nose as rusted and frozen. fours to five hours of file work later they look much better. failed to take a before picture.

Nice work Elroy. You gave it that well known “Elroy” touch, but four hours is a lot of time for a pair of pliers.

Important thing is you had fun in the endeavor.

four hours is a lot of time for a pair of pliers.

please realize those estimated hours didn't occur in one sitting. for Elroy, these pliers offer practice media for a pending project with significantly more value that can't afford to get phucked up. note these pliers offer flat, curved and patterned surfaces. this little practice piece started out with a sand blast using 3 different grade shot. starting at the front offers flat and tightly curved surfaces. before these pliers get rust blued and fully polished out, Elroy thought about "touching up the engraving" on the handle faces. these simple pliers offer up all the features that need to mastered before the real project comes along.

no  comment............guess we'll see

if you care to come along, Elroy would be pleased to guide the journey. up to this point all the work has been by hand. made the mistake of hitting the back side of the handles with a cartridge roll. no worries it'll file out. Elroy tells me, he's considering  dipping the rust blue on both polished and blasted surfaces.

what would you do. polish it all or dip what ya got ?

I would dip it as is. I would like to see the difference in rust bluing the polished versus the blasted.

at this point Elroy is still on the fence. elroy had to stick his fat hand in there to get a focused shot. bottoms polished out fairly quick.

Elroy appreciates the kind words................Thank you kindly.

there was some free time over the holidays and elroy simply elected to watch a few old movies while pushing a file.

Have no worries, that's NOT the kitchen table. That's Elroy's home office desk.

Ray, you're fully correct. The rough polish is complete. Next step is a pass over the cotton buffer and it'll be ready for the rust treatment. let me tell ya, dressing in those forged waffle patterns on the handle faces sucked. Note the Elroy made, file sleeve made from a .45 ACP brass. Small files call for small handles.

flash rust..............not even close. That's red rouge buffing compound deposited on the first cold pass. it's a good indicator of the initial polish with the rough surfaces (such as the waffle pattern) readily holding it. As the work heats, Elroy paints the work with rouge.

the rust dip is coming but it might take a few. Initial buff revealed some dips that need to be flattened. ask ray about time at the bench.
