Title: vise finds were good today 6-7-19
Post by: ken w. on June 07, 2019, 10:02:01 PM
I went to a few estate sales today and left home with a horseshoe as I made out good. I went to one @ 45 miles from home. It was big garbage week in some towns on the way out there. In front one house there was junk piled high from driveway to driveway. On top of a garbage can was a Wilton vise. I'll take it. Here's what I picked up today.
1. Columbian No. 203 1/2 . Painted black. Got this at the first estate sale.
2. Wilton swivel base vise. Marked 111108 / 111111 . This is the garbage picked one.
3. Sears 5178 small red swivel vise. Japan.
4. Reed 104R . Has a chunk broke out of it. I shamed the seller into 1/4 of asking price because of the damage.

That Reed is a really smooth working vise. Notice the 2 oil holes on it. It's the only vise I've come across that's had these. It's a shame there's a chunk broke off on this.
