The black clad peaceful protesters rioters have been rolling into town for the last few days so this should be interesting tomorrow. I have some more intelligence but don't want to say it at this time.

yall be careful. That crack squad the BLM has for a strong arm group, NFAC may be there. they may accidentally hit some innocent bystander while they're busy shooting each other. :lol_hitting:

It was an interesting day yesterday. There are conflicting numbers but will go with 50-100 BLM protesters and 1000 counterprotesters. It stayed pretty peaceful with a couple of incidents but plenty of noise. Leftist news reports are calling us a gun toting racist town full of scary people brandishing weapons. I saw plenty of people with open carry and AK's and AR's but no assault weapons or brandishing. No idea how many people were concealed carry.

On a drive through town quite a few businesses on Main St. had their parking lots blocked off with people camped out. A neighbor down the road had an encampment set up in front of his motorcycle shop with his big motorhome and several other vehicles. If the Antifa people had thoughts of causing trouble I think they decided the outcome would not be good and there was no trouble.

We hung out on Main St/Hwy 395 for a couple of hours after dinner. We were in the parking lot between a big casino and the sheriff station right on the edge of the road where the action had continued all day and into the night. Most vehicles passing us were honking in support with a few carloads of young punks flipping us off.

I hope these protesters and possible rioters have decided that our valley is not a healthy place to conduct their mayhem. They can describe me in all kinds of derogatory words but I don't really care and will continue to support the wellbeing of every resident no matter what their beliefs.

Depending on the news source, the locals were the protestors and BLM were the counter protesters or the other way around.  I found that interesting.

In reading a BLM sided article, they complained of being drowned out by the locals.  I guess the locals don't have the same free speech rights.

I am curious as to what the BLM group expected to happen other then what went down. To me the outcome was quite predictable.

Phil, for some entertaining reading here is an article from the Carson City news site that is so left you have to look over your shoulder to read it. The comments are pretty funny as most are from people that weren't even there.

I wish that I had got a picture of the older gentleman with a blm sign who was pushing a baby stroller full of junk while wearing a bright red bikini. I was told there were two of those guys there.

That comment just kind of popped in my head as I was trying to figure out how to describe how far left they are. ;)

I know I'm too old to be out there and have way too much to lose, but part of me would love to be out there kicking some ANTIFA ass!   :93:

Antifa slithered back out of town as they knew it would be a losing proposition to start trouble. Busloads had come in and the sheriffs knew exactly where they were staying. All 4 roads into the valley were watched and there is a good intelligence network by retired and active law enforcement.

All the whining about the cops not protecting them is bizarre. Do these morons not realize what "defunding the police" means?

I honestly think they dont have a clue. They want to take the money away from cops and give to the touchy feely crap but they still want to have the cops at their beck and call too. It dont work that way.
