What type of vise might this be?
« on: August 05, 2019, 06:57:08 PM »
I've had this for awhile now, and wondering where I'll mount it. She's a bruiser, rotates in the holder 360 degrees. 14" in height, 3.5" of flat jaws with pipe grippers below that. It appears there might be room for a post support on the bottom, or perhaps for a tool to be inserted for leverage (1" opening). Gotta weigh in at 40-50lbs.

I've not found a similar one on the web. No name. Probably was red originally. Flat 90d anvil platform.

Pipe vise?

I AM LIMITED TO TYPING with my left index so messages will be short. I have a Cole just like it. I will have to share more later. Google Cole vise to see. I had a rt shoulder replacement last Wednesday.
You boys better hold on cause I'm gonna have to stand on it!

You nailed it. Thanks for the boost up with the ID. I'll try and fab up that swinging locking piece to replace the simple bolt. Doesn't look like anything goes in that bottom hole based on the pics I saw.

She'll need a stout mounting platform on a worthy bench for sure.

Much appreciated!
