Smoke Tester for home use?
« on: May 11, 2023, 08:37:54 PM »
YouTuber "Dan's Pro Shop" posted a relativly affordable EVAP Tester/Smoke Machine. ~ $170.00.

I don't need one, but that's never stopped Torqueman before!  :)

Very versatile tool at an impressive price. Like many other diag tools in the past, technology keeps getting better/smaller and the unit prices drop very quickly over the course of a few short years. No use building one yourself - this is a great price.

goodfellow--just checking degeneration of brain here.  Didn't you one time have a series on fabricating a home brew smoker?

Yes I did, but had I known about this little gem, I would have snapped it up in a minute. No use building one when the commercial stuff with all the bells 'n whistles is within the affordable range. My little tester just produced lots of smoke, but it didn't have the pressure and leakage capabilities.

Found the post -- Mine was built for about $20, but it's just a smoker, not an all-in-one tester.
