Dodge maybe cause of doors & the trim on the fenders. You know what white socks say about a chick, so she's a safe date.

Some will LLH @ that (Laugh Like Hell)

Body shape says GM.  Center opening doors  about 1940.  Taillights Chevy.  The double stainless trim spears got popular after 39, down low on the fenders.  The single one on the hood confuses it a bit.  Pretty sure is a chevy 1940.

It looks like a '40 Chevy Deluxe series, but the gas tank filler neck is on the wrong side.

Someone on Facebook suggested a ‘41 Hudson.

Could very well be -- Chevy and Hudson (and even Plymouth) read ends looked very similar.

It’s so hard to find a rear view picture of those cars. Thy did find one of a Hudson though.

Elroy would suggest it's a 41 Willys Americar. But the suicide doors say Desoto.

Elroy would strongly suggest it's a 41 Willys Americar

All the pictures I can find of the 1941 Willys Americar show it to have a split rear window. The car in the original picture does not have a split rear window. The window is also shaped significantly different. Hudson’s also had suicide doors.

Keep looking

The bottom of the door on your original example don't match the Hudson

Alright guys took me about 15 minutes.....but it's a 42 Hudson.

Plymouth was close but taillight design and position of fuel fill cap gave it away.

The fender trim looks different on the Hudsons and the trunk lid shape looks a little different.
