Clean shop.

What a beautiful sight! I was just old enough to remember that the local Ford dealership had a similar looking lube station up until 1963. Then they built a whole new "modern" shop building, and all the cool old art deco equipment and design went to the scrapper. Even as a kid I knew that it was a loss to see all that artfully stylized stuff go away in the name of "progress".

Caddy 53 or 54 Coupe de Ville.

I really love the Pierce Arrow wrecker a couple down from that.

People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

Agree on the smashed Caddy.  Pierce Arrow always had headlights mounted on the fenders,  I believe the Springfield wrecker is a Cadillac,  great body work converting it from a sedan though.  The combines dumping grain in the Chevy, date to the 50s,  while behind the old Chevy is a 65-66 model, so those combines were pretty old for the time, cabs were coming in to play by 66.  The badly smashed wreck with the police standing about looks like a Graham, 38' or so.   Nice bunch of pics!
