Check out the shoes on the kid tightening that wheel bearing; -- fancy!!!  LOL  :))

Hand-me-downs likely.  They look a little big.

No one noticed the United Airlines stewardess sitting in the 1953 Woodhill Wildfire sportscar.

Schooner-rigged scow the "Kauri" built by Alex Duthie in 1889 photographed in Auckland in August 1904. Railway Terminus Hotel (right, distance), Mechanics Bay (centre), and Parnell (left). Hundreds of these flat bottomed sailing scows traded around the coast from the 1870s to the 1920s.  Some had engines installed and lasted into the 1950s. "Kauri" is, ironically, loaded with kauri logs.

Another NZ/US WWII connection.

Middlemore was built as a military hospital when the Second World War moved closer to home in the Pacific. After the war, it became part of the Auckland Hospital Board. By 1961 the obstetric block had been built, and in construction was the Galbraith block. It was completed in 1964 and named after board secretary, Ray Galbraith.

Seeing that train car load of square body Chevys made me think of our buddy K5.  Been hanging out with him often lately, he is doing well and starting to wrench a bit.  He volunteers at the Stewartstown Railroad Museum working on support equipment, the John Brown, a WW II liberty ship and still conducts a bit for the B&O railroad museum
