That loaded Santa Fe Trail Stage car had to have been a rough ride in those days. The road from Socorro NM to Springerville AZ goes through some desolate territory. I drove that route on Hwy 60 several times. The only thing of interest is the huge radio-telescopes of the Very Large Array there in NM. They can move those huge satellite dishes on railroad tracks to re-configure the array for different searches.
I drove all those 2 lane roads of western NM and eastern AZ and they are desolate in areas and beautiful forest in some areas.

Nice,,,that is a Willys in front of Grindrod Motors.  The downtown shot,  the red Packard roadster really stands out.
