Wow, look at those guys cleaning the gas station.  Bet that was a scheduled cleaning done on a regular basis

Those young men are way too clean. Probably a staged photo op. When I was their age and my friends got together to work on a car, our hands and arms were covered in grease and grime within minutes; not to mention our clothes.

especially the boy in the light colored jeans

Good call Ray

Notice how Ray danced around the question if he was in the picture.  I have heard he did some modeling in his teens :))

When needs must...

The irrepressible English spirit to express their culture and way of life, even during the hardest of times, is amazing. I've seen pics of English officers playing golf in the north African desert while under heavy attack by Rommel's army.

@ Muddy

Think this bill of sale signed by R Davidson has value. I have owned it for 40 years now, or resource to have it verified?

Really great batch of pics, still get nostalgic over the service station photos,  spent plenty of hours hanging around them.   And pics from the UK, US  and Aus.

It definitely is cool. I love old sales slips. I have a box from a McCormick Deering dealer from the early 30s I've been meaning to go through.

As for value. Can say much on that. Who would R. Davidson be? Would that be one of Arthur Davidson's sons? Or perhaps a brother to Willie G.?
