I snapped this in 1980 in a tiny western Iowa town.  Was awed to see the HUDSON sign still on the garage.   Note the gas pumps right on the curb in front of that shop,  remember quite a few pumps without a (gas station).    Somewhere I have a hardcover  coffee table book called Horses in Harness.   Pics of horses and mules moving unbelievably heavy stuff, like early electric generators and transformers.   36 head of horses moving a mired down circus wagon,  stuff we may never see in this age.
