Drill doctor works pretty good, 1/8 up, smaller bits, not worth the trouble. Key to using it is setting the cut depth. It's the stop, the bit is pulled into, when positioning the bit in the holder.
Also found allowing the bit to free spin, not loose. As the gripper holds it, resting against the stop. The tighten the holder, is accurate and consistent for sharpening.
I just rotate the bit until it quits cutting, DD says count the turn so as you stop on at an even count.. I do better just waiting until no more material is being removed.
BTW have a spare holder laying around that will sharpen 3/4 if interested?
