I think they sold fast, unfortunately. I happened to drop him a pm at the right time, minutes after he posted, and he had 3 left at that point.

Here is the only one he found with the preservative removed. It was removed 20 years ago and a couple of sockets were missing. I think I’ll leave mine as it came since I was already working on one. The PR in my set in progress means it came with pliers and a ratchet.

I'm setting up a set around the Mac MC1 I just got it left this poor little Thorsen / action box J.AF.F sent me empty, not anymore now my dad has a basic 1/4" drive set.

The ratchet, sockets and extension are of course Craftsman and indestro.
The little spinner handle is a Sears Taiwan from my dads first tool set he bought while in the army sometime back in the early 80's.

A majority of the tools are Craftsman so i figured the stickers were appropriate enough.

I like the way that box came out - well done!
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

I was not happy with that set i put together for my dad, having some randomly sockets and a spinner handle the didn't mate up with very well didn't seem right .
I moved some things around , and a sacrifice or two, and did this set right.
Now it's all Craftsman to go with the stickers I put on the box.

Here's the current state of my main 1/4 set based around a Mac MC1 box, I've set up as a versatile inclusive general small task set and it's been doing this pretty well.
There's 75 pieces if you count each driver bit.

All of the sockets and ignition wrenches are US Craftsman , and I just got the NOS shallow metrics in today.
They go from 4mm-14mm, then I've got 1/2-1/4 skipping the standard sizes that have metric equivalents.
Then there's a mix of 9 metric and standard deeps.
There's a set of standard combo's 5/32 -3/8 and metric doe's 5.5mm-11mm.

The indestro  6072 will be replaced with the new Wright 2426 I've got coming if it's head isn't too tall to fit, this box is pretty shallow in depth for the top and even shallower in the drawer.

Thank you.

Maximizing my use of space while maintaining a nominal degree of organization is something I generally strive for in the sets I put together, and I feel I hit my goal on this one.

I picked up this little Duro-Chrome set off E-bay recently from a seller that appeared to be selling off their personal 1/4" socket set collection. This is the only set that I snagged.
