Bluegrass 1/4" set. I really don't know what was originally included in this set. The box and sockets appear to be New Britain sourced, but the breaker bar and ratchet look similar to Wright. Perhaps different sources for earlier and later production eras.

I am just knocked out. Those sets are so cool.

The Vi-Chrome really does like a Bonney item. That Armstrong box is really cool as is the first MAC box. But all of it is amazing.

I like how that Companion open gear ratchet has the drive knuckle secured by a snap-ring. Would make disassembly easy of cleaning or replacement.   8)

Here's a little MAC box I've had for a while. I'm just picking up pieces to fill it as I find them. There's couple of non MAC ratchets in the mix here as well.

Interesting , I think I have 2 boxes like that, but with no handle. I will have to did them up and look them over.

That last Companion set is interesting, not sure why they thought to include punches but it seems like they must've thought a bit about whatever use they had in mind.

CRDTI & H&S,

The Sears Companion 1/4" drive set is pretty sweet and unusual.  I believe these sets were made by Western Forge (i.e. WF) for Sears. Western Forge is best known for their Craftsman screwdrivers, pliers, punches, chisels, adjustable wrenches, ignition tools, brake tools, and etc.
When my wife leaves me, my dog dies, and they repossess my home, I'll still have my tools.

Some Companion sets of the era were Indestro sourced. I have a 3/8" set in a red box much like that one that was Indestro bloodline. Had I known then what I know now I would have skipped the Craftsman brand and just bought the Companion stuff! LOL

Now I know why I can never find a nice 1/4" set in a metal box. Cruiser808 and CRDTI have snagged them all and squirreled them away.

That would make perfect sense.

They do seem to have the market cornered.

And these are just the sets they collect, I can only imagine what their user sets look like.

I just joined this morning, although I am a member on some other sites. I have a 1/4” drive fetish and tend towards WW2 vintage sets although I have some newer stuff in various brands. My pictures will be pretty random.
