That is a great video of the Spitfire and Focke Wulf 190 in a tailchase. I did notice that the Butcher Bird was behind the Spitfire the entire flight. Considering that Hangar 10 in Germany put this on they felt that was the proper order. ;D

The FW 190 has a Russian AsH82T twin row 14 cylinder radial engine. Some have original German engines for their restorations and those engines are mega bucks. The Spitfire has a Rolls-Royce V12 Griffon engine in it.

I saw the title and thought cars. Cool planes though and cool vid.

The Sptifire was named after the airplane but the Messerschmitt was not named after the plane or Willy Messerschmitt. The car was made in the Messerschmitt factory after the war since the factory was not allowed to manufacture planes at that time and switched to other goods. The car was designed and made by a different company although they did use the name and insignia.

Got a sound track of a real engine?

I thought they had inverted Daimler Benz V-12 engines ? how do you fit a radial in that space?

The first series of the 190's all had BMW801 radials. Later they also used Daimler Benz DB603 inverted V-12 and the Junkers Jumo 213 inverted V-12. Flug Werk built about 20 new airframes for static and airworthy. Some guys are using Allison V-12's inverted so they look proper at a much cheaper price than a German engine.
