Snow shovels
« on: January 19, 2020, 02:13:22 PM »
The picture of a snow shovel was a nice shovel. This is my favorite shovel but I haven't been able to find a new one with the bent handle I really like. I have a straight shaft one but it has the metal blade on the scraping edge which will spall the concrete if it pops some ice off the concrete so I don't like to use it. My favorite is pretty worn.

I really like bent handle snow shovels.   Just hate using them.

Normally can buy them cheap at auctions

Hate using them  :))

Snowed 4 times last week. 2 days just flurries, 2 days plowable events. When the week started we had no snow on the ground thanks to warm rainy days, now we have 10 inches maybe?

For you guys who are laughing about the snow that is OK. We get the snow and you get oppressive humidity and bugs. Sounds like a fair trade to me. ;D

I stopped by my local Home Depot and they had about 20 different styles of snow shovels.  I'm near Buffalo and they may stock more shovels than in other parts of the country.

Was at Costco earlier today and grabbed this snow shovel for $22.00. It has a hard nylon wear strip on the edge and sits at a perfect angle when I hold it. The storm coming in tonight is just supposed to give us rain here at 5,000' so I don't when I will get to test it.
