Yep I have a new seat, and the decal set on its way. I'm also going to get at least one new tire.

As awesome as a detailed engine would be .... I'm not that great with fine details. Plus on the real tractor and when the pedal tractor was new the engines are all JD green.

None of those old pedal tractors had engine color different than the rest of the tractor. If that tractor still has a functioning pin and hitch a tow behind trailer would really set that off. I got one for my sons when I bought his years ago. I kept both the tractor and trailer for him for when he has kids.

Great job Tim!!! That will be a family heirloom for certain. Nothing says Christmas like -- "....my dad built it for me!"

I have some old barn wood that I'm thinking about building a "hay wagon" for it.

Put on the Christmas lunch at the wife's work. It will wear you out putting a killer meal together for over a dozen machinists. I got meat/cheese trays, a big shrimp tray and 2 of the big pumpkin pies from Costco and a variety of breads and condiments as the guys really like building their own sandwiches, macaroni and potato salads, chips, veggies and the secretary made a big pot of chili.
I got home and had to wash all the serving utensils platters and bowls. The bonus is we don't have to go shopping this weekend as I brought home a nearly full meat/cheese platter, bread, shrimp, vegetables, lettuce and chips. It is going to be chef salads for us tonight in a little bit.

Got the cylinder head for the 800 Ford tractor back from the machine shop. Now to go find all the parts that have been kicked around for the last few months.

Not much productive work is getting done in my office today. Annual Christmas Trail completion between sections is underway.

Structural guys have gone with a penguin theme.

Planners and architects a heaven theme.

The infrastructure team, my section, are a bit muted this year after winning six of the previous seven years.

Geotechs are playing the Grinch card and not playing.

We got invaded by kids and dogs.

The industrial guys decided that a BBQ for lunch was in order.

Last coat went in tonight. Will let it sit by the furnace for a few more days then assemble and decal.

Again, far from a goodfellow restoration. I'm sure it's going to see abuse if the boy is anything like me...  Will get tires after the new year. Some odds and ends, but pretty much finished (as if a project ever truly is "finished)

Before and after.

Was a better day than Wednesday, that was the day I couldn't find the keys to my tractors. Was in the process of having my son bring me his keys.  Until, when walking from the machinery barn to the house my German Shepard sniffs around and I look at him and my keys are hanging out of his mouth. :)
