Plumbing tools: Past and present

I bought a ferrule remover (but I didn't know it at the time) and put out a what is it on a forum. A guy came back and said what it was, that it was made by a company called PASCO, and did I want to sell it? No, I said, I'm sure I'll find a place to use it.

But I did check out the site he mentioned. Come to find out PASCO makes all sorts of plumbing tools, both common and specialty. They seem to have someone(s) who sees a need and comes up with a tool to do the job, and then they manufacture it and sell it.

Figured it'd be a good reference for you guys needing plumbing tools. Open up the "products" tab and then open up the "Tools" catalog.

I picked up this tool probably 6 months ago for use on a handyman job. Finally used it on my own toilet  - works like a charm!

I paid $2 , but it's worth the $8 from Amazon just in saved frustration and stripped/bad fitting wrenches..

Some other decent looking plumbing tools.

Lasco makes a line of products for Ace Hardware, but they do tons of stuff.

Plumbers supplies has a nice inventory so you can figure out what a tool is and does if you're not that knowledgeable about plumbing.

Another company that no longer exists but I found one of their tools and it's really nice:
Covers Company of Bedford, Ohio. No direct sites, only a mention on the progress is fine blog

http://progress-is-fine.blogspot.com/2013/07/vanished-tool-makers-covers-company.html

Funny sidebar is two of the the three tools I've seen pictures of have the name "ACE" on the tool. Have no idea what that means. I would normally think that it might be a tier logo (as in a company's "econo" vs "pro" line) but have no way to be sure.

Found one! Just goes to show that my dad was right - if you look long and hard enough you'll find what you're looking for at a price you're willing to pay.   8)

A Cover's Company Lock Nut wrench. $3
