Title: Blohm Tool Chain Indicator Holder
Post by: Papaw on July 14, 2020, 04:17:26 PM
Found this in a box from an estate sale some years ago.
Chain indicator holder (Not magnetic) for mounting an indicator to align direct driven equipment to the driver. Appears to be unused.

I wonder if it has any value.
Look at pictures.

That is different. The way the chain tightens would make for a pretty rigid set up. I like it. :great:

Mine has Woodville Tex on it. wonder if its older or newer. I still use mine form time to time when aligning a pump and motor. The youngsters use the laser but I prefer a couple of indicators.

Is it worth anything? I don't have a use for it, but don't want to just give it away.

New they're north of $100. Problem is finding that "right person" since it's industrial. Most of the people who need one can easily buy new with company money.

If you still have this Chain Indicator Holder, I know someone who has been looking for one.  He has bought them before and will give you fair value.  I sent you a message as well.

Noel Papaw has passed away so you may not get a response. He would have been happy to negotiate a fair price with you as he loved doing that. Miss that great guy.

You can also go to his website which is being maintained by his good friends. They might be able to find out if it still available.

Thanks DeadNutz for the welcome...and the link to Papaw's site.  It looks like Papaw had a passion for such unusual tools!  I regret that I didn't find this forum in time to chat with him a bit.  I probably could have learned a thing or two...but maybe still can :)
