Title: A rustic coat tree

A piece for a buyer.  He supplied the tree and the horseshoes.

The base was split from the thickest part of the tree he brought.   Easily with a chainsaw.   I did some farmer welding on the top part for the hooks.

All Amish technology and methods in that one.   The trunk and base were seasoned wood that the bark peeled off easily.   I just sanded it a bit and varnished the entire thing.

I even used a bit and brace to set the post in the base.
