Title: Stanley planer
Post by: john k on March 14, 2023, 09:50:17 AM
A Stanley planer,  just picked up this 50s vintage electric planer.  Smooth, quiet, 2 extra cutters, some accessories, and a handfull of Stanley pamphlets.  Also a handfull to use at over 30lbs.  So tired of seeing hand planes called planers, but this is the real deal.  One pamphlet is for a matching router, polished to the max, might find one.

You already have the router it looks like!  The router motor powered the planer, or when removed, could be used as a router.

That's a hell of a tool ...  built when pride guided the way.

Have looked it over thoroughly, and the drive motor,  it is dedicated to the planet, and not very easily converted to a rotor.  Haven't seen another tool of this series.
