Hull Oaks is about 60 miles south of me and last I heard they had converted the head rig to electric drive. That outfit prints money cutting big clear beams from old growth fir that the commodity mills can't take because the butt size won't fit. They get $25k+ for the fir big beams, and more for white oak.

Pretty cool video. Wagner Logstackers seem to be everywhere. Storage ponds are something you don't see in New Zealand, it is all dry log yards.

damned impressive array of equipment in that mill. I'm always amazed that with all the work involved in getting a board from the forest to the market. Then we can sell it so cheap.
